Her petite figure and soft features might lead you to believe that she is just another glam babe. But a quick chat with her and you know that she’s smart as she is pretty and it’s not without a reason that she bagged Ms Personality in the regional rounds of the Gladrags model hunt this year. “And Ms Congeniality as well,” she reminds us politely. Dipannita Patra made inroads in to the modelling industry of Kolkata one-and-half years ago and has since been the face for over a dozen well known brands of the city that has ranged from saris to jewellery and beyond. Having completed her graduation, she is now pursing her MBA and specialising in HR and marketing.“Life is hectic with studies, presentations and modelling thrown in,” shares this self-confessed shopaholic. “I have to shop at least once a week and City Centre is my favourite hangout and shopping destination,” she quips. Like most models she too wants to try her hand in acting. She has signed a contract for a mega serial and two telefilms in Bengali already. “I don’t agree when people who say that there isn’t any work in Kolkata. Lots of good work is happening, you just have to meet the right people.”
